Basically, i have absolutely no head room. Now, ozone's limiter has autogain, which means once i drag down my threshold -12 dbfs to touch this weird, incongruent signal that is lower than the master fader for some reason, the mix, in logic, is already stuck up against the ceiling, being smashed to bits.

So in order to get any gain reduction, i have to FIRST drag my threshold down -12 dbfs, to even touch the signal. Why is this a problem? Because my mix, in reality, in my DAW, is peaking at around -5, and in the maximizer, it is peaking around -12 dbfs. it is no where near -5 dbfs, even though it clearly is -5 dbfs on both logic's master track and ozone's input and output meters, without any limiting of course. The problem i am facing is to do with ozone's actual maximizer meter, the one with the ceiling and threshold controls. On ozone's output meters, the ones on the right side of the plugin, the peaks are also around -5 dbfs.

I am done with my mix, and it is peaking around -5 dbfs on my master fader in logic X. Either way, its driving me crazy and i'd appreciate your help to no end. So i'm running into this issue with ozone's maximizer, and i need help.Įither i am misunderstanding something, or i have made a mistake that is causing this.
